Another pair from the Soul Eater series. Blackstar and Tsubaki are like what Maka and Soul would be if they had no coordination with each other. Blackstar is irrationally confident in his abilities as a ninja, despite destroying all the subtle skills and tactics of being a ninja in the process, and don't even get me started on him feeling the need to be center of attention or vow to surpass God. His partner Tsubaki is, by contrast, a more traditional ninja; being swift and quiet. The only insecurity she has is her self-esteem, especially where being Blackstar's partner is concerned. It is Tsubaki's worse fear that Blackstar will dump her if he finds a partner that he has more in common with. Blackstar also happens to be a little horndog who repeatedly tries to peek at Tsubaki while she bathes. Tsubaki really doesn't care if he does, but wishes he wouldn't repeatedly give himself away while doing it. The fact they sleep in the same room also says a lot about how comfortable they are with each other. Like Maka, Tsubaki serves as the voice of common sense and rationality, but seems drowned out by Blackstar's own mental praises.
