Silverwing

Being a fan of the same book of the same name, this Canadian cartoon is kind of a hit-and-miss for me. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing Shade, Marina, and Goth come to life, and I think Michael Dobson provides the monstrous bat with a GREAT voice and personality, but there are some elements to the cartoon I feel are unneeded. Like how the owls are like a military force and how Brutus seems to have influence over the mammals as well as smaller birds. It also seems that the series is kind of rushed and combines elements of Silverwing and Sunwing as if in an almost sloppy manner. I feel some elements of the cartoon were unneeded and the series should have just followed the book. But I digress. Like Micheal did with Goth, I also love how Bill Switzer and Sharon Alexander play Shade and Marina as a typical arguing couple. Is the cartoon flawed? Yeah, maybe. But it's still worth watching for the sake of nostalgia.
