In this Indian tale, the legendary king Vikram agrees to bring a demon known as Vetal to a sorcerer. Vetal has no issues about being brought to the sorcerer, but says that, to pass the time, he will tell stories to Vikram. Each tale ends with a riddle to the moral issues of man, and after Vikram answers the first question, Vetal flies away back to his tree to sleep. This continues several more times, as Vetal says Vikram's head will burst if he does not answer his riddles. I like this fable since it seems very clever to me.
